Can I use just one container instead of stacking both?
Yes, absolutely! If you're packing a smaller meal, you can use a single container. To secure the utensil lid, simply wrap the elastic strap around the single container lengthwise. It will provide a snug and secure fit for easy transport.
Is the removable divider leak-proof?
The divider is designed to organize and separate solid foods within a container, but it is not leak-proof. Its purpose is to keep your main course from mixing with a side, or to prevent your crackers from getting soggy next to your fruit. For liquids or very wet foods, please use the included sauce cup or a separate sealed container.
What kind of meals fit best in this bento box?
This box is perfect for portion-controlled meals like salads, pasta, rice bowls, stir-fries, and leftovers. Standard-sized sandwiches fit well when cut in half. While taller items like whole apples or bulky bread rolls might be a tight squeeze, many customers get creative by using silicone baking cups inside to further separate smaller items like nuts, berries, or dips.
Is the top lid made of real wood?
The lid features a realistic wood-grain finish, but it is made from the same durable, food-grade polypropylene as the rest of the box. We chose this material to ensure the entire set is lightweight, easy to clean, and safe for both the dishwasher (top rack) and microwave, offering the beauty of wood with the practicality of modern materials.
Is this bento box suitable for young children?
Our bento box is primarily designed for adults and teens. The airtight seal, which makes the box so effectively leak-resistant, creates a strong vacuum that can be challenging for small hands to open independently. We recommend it for users who can comfortably manage a firm seal.
