Crispy Baked Panko Fish Strips
A healthier alternative to fried fish, these fish strips are coated in seasoned panko breadcrumbs and baked until perfectly golden brown and crispy.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (250g) firm white fish, sliced into strips
- 1 small egg, beaten
- 1 cup (100g) panko bread crumbs
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/8 tsp salt
- Pinch of ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with oregano, salt, and pepper. In a separate small bowl, beat the egg.
- Dip each fish strip first into the beaten egg, then coat it thoroughly with the crumb mixture.
- Place the coated fish strips on the prepared baking tray and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the strips are lightly golden brown and crispy.
