Simple 5-Ingredient Crepes
Master the art of making classic, delicate French crepes at home with this foolproof recipe that uses just a few basic ingredients. Perfect for sweet or savory fillings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional, for sweet crepes)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the batter ingredients: flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, salt, and sugar (if using) until smooth.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with butter or cooking spray.
- Pour about 1/4 cup (60ml) of batter into the hot pan, and quickly tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter into a thin circle.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the edges start to lift and the bottom is lightly golden. Flip carefully and cook the other side for another minute.
- Remove the crepe and repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with your favorite fillings.
