Caprese Pesto Pasta Salad
A delicious and easy pasta salad that combines the classic Caprese flavors of juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and basil with a vibrant pesto sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz (225g) penne pasta
- 1/2 cup (120g) basil pesto
- 1 cup (150g) cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup (150g) fresh mozzarella balls
- 1/4 cup (10g) fresh basil leaves, torn
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the cooked pasta.
- Add the basil pesto and toss until the pasta is evenly coated.
- Gently fold in the halved cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with torn fresh basil leaves before serving.
