Classic Tuna Pasta Salad
A simple, classic, and refreshing pasta salad that combines flaky tuna, crisp cucumber, and juicy cherry tomatoes in a light and creamy mayonnaise dressing.
Ingredients
- 10 oz (300g) pasta (fusilli or penne)
- 1 can (5 oz / 150g) tuna, drained
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 cup (150g) cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 2 tbsp pine nuts
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and let it cool.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooled pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, and diced cucumber.
- In a small bowl, mix the tuna with mayonnaise. Add this to the pasta mixture.
- Stir in the chopped basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle with pine nuts just before serving for added crunch.
