Easy Chili Bean Burrito
A hearty and satisfying burrito filled with a savory, slow-simmered mixture of ground beef, kidney beans, and classic chili spices, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (250g) ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 can (7 oz / 200g) red kidney beans, rinsed
- 1/2 can (7 oz / 200g) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin & 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 large flour tortillas
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pan, sauté the onion and garlic until softened. Add the ground meat and cook until browned. Drain fat.
- Stir in the kidney beans, tomatoes, and all spices. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
- Place a large spoonful of the chili mixture in the center of each tortilla.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla in, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
