Healthy Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Cookies
Guilt-free and delicious, these cookies are naturally sweetened with bananas and packed with wholesome rolled oats, almond butter, walnuts, and a touch of chocolate.
Ingredients
- 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (125g) almond butter or peanut butter
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups (160g) rolled oats
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup (45g) chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup (40g) chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients: mashed bananas, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Stir in the dry ingredients: rolled oats, salt, cinnamon, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Mix until well combined.
- Drop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and gently flatten each cookie.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet.
