Healthy Chocolate Chip Banana Oatmeal Cookies

Guilt-free and delicious, these cookies are naturally sweetened with bananas and packed with wholesome rolled oats, almond butter, walnuts, and a touch of chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup (125g) almond butter or peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (160g) rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (45g) chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup (40g) chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the wet ingredients: mashed bananas, almond butter, maple syrup, and vanilla.
  3. Stir in the dry ingredients: rolled oats, salt, cinnamon, chocolate chips, and walnuts. Mix until well combined.
  4. Drop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet and gently flatten each cookie.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet.
