Smoky BBQ Chicken and Green Beans Skillet
A quick and flavorful weeknight dinner, this one-skillet meal features tender chicken breasts coated in a smoky BBQ and paprika sauce, served with crisp green beans.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup (120ml) BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lb (225g) green beans, trimmed
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce and smoked paprika until well combined.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Add the green beans to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken and green beans. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (165°F / 75°C) and the sauce has thickened.
