Fluffy Chocolate Pancakes
Indulge in a decadent breakfast with these light and fluffy chocolate pancakes. Made with rich cocoa powder, they are perfect for a special morning treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup (240ml) milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- Heat a lightly greased griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Pour 1/4 cup (60ml) of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until cooked through.
