Creamy Homemade Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
- 4 oz (115g) elbow macaroni
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (180ml) milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup (115g) shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbly.
- Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it's completely melted and the sauce is smooth.
